To the right are examples of marketing systems and other products that may be helpful to your Alberta business.
What you may notice is that the websites you are taken to after clicking on the product's link are very loud and in your face. This tends to be the American style of selling on the internet.
Sales pages do not have to be over the top. Like you, there are thousands of people who have made it this far on my website. But, this site is far from annoying with tonnes of pop-ups, an auto-playing video of some guy screaming, and the rest of the circus of online marketing.
All the same, it may be a good idea to purchase one or more of these systems to understand the competition. In marketing, it is not so much the substance of what is being marketed, ie. food, clothing, get-rich-quick schemes, but rather, the form.
By "Form," I mean the steps taken to market the product. Go ahead and buy one of the systems listed. After buying a system, ask these questions:
1. What is the product or service being sold?
2. What is a feature of the product?
3. What advantage does that feature bring?
4. What is the benefit of that advantage
Points 2,3, and 4 are referred to as FAB, feature, advantage and benefit. Try to find 3 FABs for each product.
5. Who is the product targeting (age, sex, income, education, lifestyle)
6. What is the price? One time or subscription?
After you answer these questions, repeat the process one or two more times. What will happen is that you will see a pattern emerge or, even better, think of your own way to sell the same products.
